Green tech manufacturing unit in Summit Technopolis in Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City, Kaliakoir

For encouraging ICT related investment in Bangladesh, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, State Minister – ICT Ministry was present as the Chief Guest and Md Farid Khan, Vice Chairman, Summit Group attended as the Special Guest.

Recently Summit Technopolis Limited, a subsidiary of Summit Group, had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bangladesh, Korea and US joint venture company, WAO Sun-E-LED Company Limited.  This company will be building hi-tech facilities for production of hardware related to renewable energy and green technology in Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City in Kaliakoir, Gazipur with tentative completion in early 2018. WAO Sun-E-LED’s manufacturing unit will be producing LED lighting, solar power plants, LED lamps and in/outdoor LED – an investment of USD 30 million.

Summit Technopolis Limited, a Public Private Partnership (PPP), is the concessionaire for developing infrastructure for hi–tech industry comprising of Information Technology (IT), Information Technology enabled Services (ITeS), bio–tech, non–polluting manufacturing assembly lines and precision engineering companies, in the 91 acres area of block 2 and 5 in Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City, Kaliakoir, Gazipur. Summit Technopolis leased under the provision to design, build, finance, own, operate and transfer to government on completion of 40 years lease period.
